Cover Days Privacy Policy

Cover Days (“we”, “our”) is a Shopify Admin embedded app that forecasts restock timing from inventory levels and order line quantities. We process data only to provide these features.

Data we process

• Shop domain and offline access tokens (Shopify OAuth / session auth)
• Product, variant, location, and inventory quantities from the Admin API
• Order line quantities and refund quantities used to compute sales velocity — we do not store customer name, address, phone, or email
• Merchant-entered supplier contacts and restock settings (lead time, cover days, alert email)
• Mandatory GDPR compliance webhook payloads from Shopify

How we use data

Data is used solely to operate Cover Days for the installing merchant. We do not sell personal data. We do not use buyer data for advertising or profiling. Daily email digests go only to the address the merchant saves in Settings.

Retention

Shop-scoped data is deleted when Shopify sends shop/redact after uninstall. Customer data request and redact webhooks have nothing to return or erase because we do not store customer identifiers.

Security

Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Application data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest provided by the host.
